Imagine the following -
The year is 1945. World War II has just come to an end. The Allies were defeated and the Axis Powers have seized all political power; that which influences the social and cultural construct of a totalitarian society. Benito Mussolini lives to bring a revolutionary nationalism to Italy; one nation unified by its totalitarian principles.
This project seeks to explore how a centralized government could alter its city's urban fabric during the Axis Powers regime. In this alternate future, Florence serves as the center of the Fascist republic, where its landscape is transformed through the intersection of boulevards to emphasize its political strength as well as the social and cultural reform of a dystopian Italy.
